vegans have better sex
@ContaMuir17a Are you serious your doctor told you this? I’m a vegan and a proponent of veganism but I also hold a Doctorate in Biochemistry and a Bachelors in Physiology. I can tell you I have never heard of such a thing. In fact it’s ridiculous for a doctor to be saying such things.
@ContaMuir17a Dietary phytoestrogens, such as found in soy, mildly mimic and sometimes act as antagonists of estrogen, but they are not estrogen. They are also found in Sunflower Flax & Sesame seeds, Multigrain bread, Hummus, Garlic, Mung bean sprouts, Dried dates & apricots, Alfalfa sprouts, Chestnuts, Olive oil, Almonds, Green beans, Peanuts, Onion, Blueberry, Corn, Coffee, & Watermelon among others. The meat industry is responsible for the bad press on soy because it fears its vegan food use.
@guitarobsessed85 Yes, I’m very my doctor told me this. He has been a doctor for a long time, and I’m certain his doctorate in medicine trumps your bachelors degree in physiology! I suggest you do more research. Soy is bashed by meat companies who see it as a threat to the meat industry. As part of a varied diet it poses no threats, and many benefits. People need to EAT A VARIETY OF FOODS! Just eating one thing, or only a few foods, anything, will eventually be bad for you.
@treverbettis Unfortunately genetically modified organisms in the United States includes much more than soy, it also includes corn, tomatoes, rice, alfalfa, papaya, cotton, canola seed, sugar cane, sugar beets, squash, peppers & corn. Even worse there are no labeling requirements so that allergic reactions cannot be traced back to the GMO foods. Please watch “The Future of Food” on Hulu dot com for much more information about this unbelievable state of affairs in the USA & other countries.
@voncoolio I don’t know what you’re talking about.
@ContaMuir17a Really? Then shut up and don’t EVER give anyone nutritional advice.

@voncoolio A study reported in The Journal of the American Medical Association (2003) showed that a diet of soy fiber, protein from oats and barley, almonds, and margarine from plant sterols lowered cholesterol as much as statins, the most widely prescribed cholesterol medicine. Good souces of soy are; tofu, soy milk, or edamame. Redusing cholesterol helps reduce heart disease.
@voncoolio Many soy foods are naturally high in calcium (some fortified with calcium because it is a good source of a particular coagulating agent). In addition, soy also contains magnesium and boron, which are important co-factors of calcium for bone health. Among all cancers, data on soy and prostate cancer seems to be the most promising; many studies support its role in the prevention and possible treatment of prostate cancer.

Good day sir!
@Rotarrius What’s your age, height and weight? What’s your current body fat percentage? Are you an ectomorph endomorph or mesomorph? How many calories are you eating a day on average? About how many calories are you expending each day on average? Have you lost just fat or also muscle mass too? Many guys would like to loose weight easily like you did. I think you might be a younger man, they tend to loose weight quicker when they start eating right. In a few more years you’ll wish you could!
@Rotarrius How much weight is so much weight? How much of the weight you lost was fat?
@Rotarrius Really if you’ve only been a raw vegan for 2 weeks how much weight could you possibly loose? How much did you weigh before? — Do you have any health problems? Are you on a diuretic? Other meds? Are you drinking at least 2.5 liters of water a day? Everyday? How many hours are you exercising a day? Beyond a certain point rapid weight loss is not good for your body. But self-perceptions can be deceptive. That’s why I’m asking so many questions. Give yourself the factual answers.
@ContaMuir17a im 23, 5 11″ and was 11 stone exactly, im an ectomorph. i’m not sure how many calories i was consuming but id have two protein shakes a day made of hemp seeds, two bananas and peanut butter. for lunch id have a huge avacado salad (a whole avocado), then 4 dinner id have a veg shake, spinach, lettuce and carrots! throughout the day i’d have fruits and almonds
