Children learn, not by what they are told, But what they see!
Children learn, not by what they are told, But what they see! They also hear everything, So does this mean we have to watch everything we say and do? Yes and No. Just by my experience of being a mother of 5, ages ranging from 19yrs to 3, I can simple say, if you don’t want your child to do something, don’t do it yourself. If you are constantly yelling at them to do what you want them to do, what do you think they are going to do when you are not doing what they want you to do? I found using a calm but stern voice with an age appropiate honest explanation has worked most of the time. It has even been as simple as ( Because I am the Mommy!). Remember we are instilling our values, morals and even our opinions in our children. So if we can’t watch everything we say and do, Lets be conscious of our words and actions in all WE do.
